Posted on

One of my main goals while in Milan during the fashion week is to get to know new emerging and interesting designers to be then featured on my blog.

At Super, the tree fair organised by Pitti Immagine, there were 7 new international promising designers chosen in collaboration Sara Sozzani Maino – Vogue Italia and Vogue Talents – with a focus on luxury accessories. The brands are: Worn, Zyne Official, Malaga4, Helena Bajaj Larsen, Iindaco, Acchitto and Juarez Camacho.

On the other side of the road, at White Milano which is the most important market place for womenswear – showcasing 550 brands – and being visited by the most influential international players. This year White Milano set up a large numbers of special events, guests and projects together with Give a Fokus to encourage environmental awareness and sustainability.

The special guest is Maison Artc fashion house based in Morocco created by Artsi Ifrach while the special designer is Palomo Spain a Spanish gender fluid brand created by Alejandro Gomez Palomo. The special project is dedicated to the Italian brand Salar Milano with their innovative handbags.

A collaboration with Youconcept, which is a showroom and multi service agency integrated with a platform specialised in talent scouting, chose a selection of international brands like Cynthia & Xiao, Lake Studio, Ernesto Naranjo, Murumur and Rewop.

The Basement this year was promising sustainable brands selected by The sustainable, the first showroom and agency to focus on sustainability. The brands are KM by Lange, Calla, Zamt, Mia Larsson, 91 Lab, Ochis Eyewear and Devo Home.

Like last year, the sustainable project Give a Fokus created by Matteo Ward, CEO of Wrad, is here to remind us about environmental-friendly production, reaction of waste, safeguard of the environment. A large number of sustainable brands were chosen to showcase their sustainable products.

A new collaboration with Regione Sicilia brought to Milan 41 interesting brands to exhibit their knowledge and love for tradition and craftsmanship.

Last but not least the Basement is always offering an interesting selection of new designers from all over the world like Occhii, Misora Nakamori, Vava Eyewear, KQK, Banu, V-Design, Duren and Dhruv Kapoor.

See you in June for the second edition of White Street Market – fashion reboot.
