Kyiv-based designer family duo Ksenia and Anton Schnaider are continuing brand’s tradition of presenting their main idea for the upcoming season via two following collections.

Drawing a significant portion of their design inspiration from own childhood and youth experiences, the designers are willing to transform that respectful feeling their parents had for denim back in 1980s in Soviet countries, and to communicate this aesthetic through Ksenia Schnaider denim and other clothing from Pre-Fall and FW ’19 collections.

Starting with Ksenia Schnaider Pre-Fall ’19 with its strong focus on reworking leftovers from brand’s previous collections, for FW ’19 Ksenia Schnaider team is not only continuing upcycling patchwork experiments with denim and knitwear, but moreover expanding the use of new materials, such as corduroy and silk, as well as new techniques, such as pleating and tie-dyeing.

With the brand’s main focus on effortlessly cool functionality and sustainability, for FW ’19Ksenia and Anton are also reworking classic plaid cotton shirts into original hoodies and dresses, and mixing some pieces with jeans and skirts. Refreshing the brand’s statement Bella Hadid-approved demi-denims with pleated corduroy, Ksenia uses pleating for creating corset dresses and skirts as well.

2019’ most viral denim trend created by Ksenia Schnaider earlier this year–– asymmetrical jeans receives new color treatment from powder blue to grey and black for FW ’19. Additionally the brand’s new collection features new denim dresses, blazers and coats, tie-dye jeans and hoodies, and silk dresses with a special graphic print as another reference to designers’ youth memories.
