HEIO is a London based brand founded in July 2015. Our bags are inspired by the beautiful singularities of different places in the world and apply them onto our designs. We appreciate real things – authenticity in its raw state.
Our products are made by the most experienced and craftful hands in the southern region of Spain, where each piece is carefully put together by artisans who have a great pride on their craft.
Last summer’s trip to New York was the source of inspiration for this collection ( see photo above). Even though it was not the first time visiting the city, discovering new spots and seeing it from another perspective made it feel like a completely new place. New York’s beauty is reflected not only on its people – a genuine melting pot of different cultures from all over the world, but also on the uniqueness of its streets and urban landscape.
The natural and personal feeling of this Spanish island is what inspired this collection. This is a homage to the enticing ‘calas’ that form the coastline of Menorca (See photo above). Arriving by boat to a small cliff and walking down through a pine tree forest to finally find a tiny and unexploited beach will probably be one of the most memorable scenes from a family holiday 2 years ago.
