Exclusive interview with Colombian designer Johanna Ortiz.
Q: Where do you take your inspiration from?
A: My collections are often narrated from the perspective of a traveling woman in seek of adventure and love along the way. I take inspiration from places I have been and people I have met. Art, architecture, the landscape and deep conversations are also a great source of inspiration.
Q: What do you like about your job?
A: Everything, I enjoy every step of the process. But if I had to choose only one it would be all the creative process of identifying color, prints and silhouettes.
Q: London, Paris, Milan or… which is the fashion capital nowadays?
A: Paris I feel more connected.. But how could I only choose one… Milan is a dream for me and London one of my favorite spots to travel!
Q: Who would you like to collaborate with and why?
A: Aquazzura, Paula Mendoza and M2malletier, to me it would be a Colombian Dream Team

A: Amal Clooney

A: A husband shirt dress

A: A ruffled top or skirt
Q: What are you future plans?
A: To continue designing, which is my greatest passion and growing the brand in new markets

A: Fun, Festive and effortlessly elegant
Q: How much your Colombian heritage influence your creations?
A: There is always a latin influence in my designs, it could be the colors, the print, the textures or the volumes, it is all a mix of our festive background and abundant biodiversity.
