A French man in Madrid and a Spaniard in Paris: Arnaud Maillard and Alvaro Castejon have two brilliant careers in the international fashion business. They have worked together in Paris, New York, London and Milan as a studio directors or personal assistant to Karl Lagerfeld, Alexander McQueen and Oscar de la Renta. Today, Madrid becomes the capital of these designers’ style: pure, luminous and sophisticated.
Arnaud Maillard was educated at the prestigious Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne. He worked for 15 years together with Karl Lagerfeld both as his right-hand and as studio director of Lagerfeld Gallery. His collections in co-brading with Diesel, Napapijri and H&M brought a fresh change to the brand. In 2007, Arnaud Maillard opened the first exclusive vintage boutique in Spain, Le Faubourg, right in the heart of Madrid’s fashion district.
Alvaro Castejon studied at the Fit,the world famous Fashion Institute of Technology in New York and at the same time he starts interning with Oscar de la Renta. Before joining “Lagerfeld Gallery”, he also worked for Alexander McQueen in New York, London and Paris, and after that he was in charge of coordinating Fendi’s studio in Paris until mid 2009, when Alvarno’s project borned.
