Event: Chanel, haute couture show spring – summer 2012

The video starts and you find yourself inside a huge airplane cabin with a lot of spectators already there, loud music, bright light and now the show. It took five days to build the “airplane” set inside Le Gand Palais.

Chanel presented 61 luxury outfits: the predominant hue was blue and its shades. The dresses were embellished and enriched by sequins, stones, pearls and beads.

The style of the dresses is very classic with slim tweed dresses, short-sleeves ones and they all have round necklines; this collection reminds of the hostess uniform back in the ’60s. Another particularity of all the dresses are the pockets to give a laid back look also to an important evening dress.

Three of the evening dresses could have been perfect as wedding dresses too.
