The lace-up pumps recalls the shoes that French people used to where in the 700’s. This kind of shoes is the heeled version of a classic pair of pumps but with laces and more or less high heels.

I think it is a good compromise between the pumps and the boots; I have chosen some of the more interesting and innovative versions available around for this season.

Don’t think that the lace-up pumps look good only with pants but it is a very good match also with a skirt or a dress too.

In 2008 I bought a pair of lace-up pumps in Bologna and they are still absolutely very trendy. Mine are patent leather and suede with brogue toe. Definitely I will look forward to buying another more elegant pair maybe with higher heels.
