Sunglasses 2012

Posted on

I am a big fan of both sun and eyeglasses in general since I am myope and I need to wear them all day long.

I have been wearing a pair of black oversized Dior shades for awhile now and needless to say that everytime I wear them, I still receive a lot of compliments.

Near where I live (in the Cadore area) there are several eyewear factories and most of them have their own store with very low prices compared to the stores in town. You can buy both brand names and no names shades at incredible prices (including lenses).

Since I am about to buy a new pair of shades, I would like to share with you my top five list:

Flora by Gucci: medium butterfly frame sunglasses with small filigree butterfly on lens and logo on temples. 4 colour variations: green, orange pink, wisteria and azure shaded lens. Price Euro 270 www.gucci.it

Balenciaga: butterfly-shaped acetate frames adorned with BB logo on temple. Available in powder chocolate brown with brown gradient lens or powder black with gray gradient lens. Price Euro 294  www.balenciaga.com

Dior: These acetate frames are accented with delicate crystals on the end pieces, hinges and temples. Available in brown moto pearl with brown gradient lens. Price Euro 500  www.dior.com

Rickie  by Tom Ford: Metal crossover butterfly shaped frame enhanced with enamel insert. Available in shiny rose gold with black enamel and grey gradient lens. Price Euro 332   www.tomford.com

Chanel: acetate sunglasses with patent calfskin leather temples and CC signature. Also available in polarize version (brown color lenses only). Available in red, blu, yellow, green and black. Price Euro 270.   www.chanel.com

ça va sans dire that my favourite ones are those by Chanel even if they are quiet bright and I might get tired of wearing them… I dont know.
