The cape coat

Posted on

One of the Must-have of this fall/winter is the cape which can be made of any material, multi- colour, long or short: what is important is that you wear the cape on top of everything. As you can see from the looks below it can be matched with skirts, pants, elegant or casual outfits.

Here above I really like Derek Lam outfit, I found it very modern. A particular cape is the plaid brushed-wool one by Etro: wear it cross-body with a thin belt over chunky knits with knee boots.

The cape itself makes me think of the Medieval time when soldiers used to wear it  (see Hermes’s photo).

Chloe’s cape is very soft and romantic and as you can see it matches perfectly also with a long dress.

I image the cape as a different kind of coat that once you get used to wear it you can’t go anywhere without.

A look to copy is the one by Milly: the yellow skirt gives a tremendous allure to the whole outfit.

Everyday capes perfect to wear them at work, at school or just  to hang out.

Fantastic, elegant shade of blue chosen by Sonia Rykiel: match it with camel pants or beige accessories.

Other combinations of how you can wear a cape: with a big hat.
