Katty Xiomara fills up the Portuguese Fashion Week calendar since 1998, where she presents her collection at Moda Lisboa and Portugal Fashion in Porto. Her professional maturity led here to conduce business with new challeges. She also has intervention in different areas such as theatre, TV/Media, music, dance, graphic art and children’s clothing, and event where she’s inveted or to reinvent new ideas with her distance and personal style.
Although in 1999 she established the brand where she participate with the collection winter 99/2000 , on the exhibition – La Mode Portugaise Revelation – at Printemps in Paris, her brand Katty Xiomara was only registered in 2000.
Alongside with her career as fashion designer, Katty is a lectured at Modatex in Porto, where she teaches about themes like streetwear, tribe, urban subculture.
The brand’s philosophy falls within the concept of designer-driven pieces that are aspirational yet accessible, elegant and timeless, sophisticated but playful, ultra-feminine with perfect tailoring, meticulous structures and shapes, bold use of colour and print; for women who are confident in themselves and their style choices, strong attitude, individual style and by with a romantic spirit.

The IDA Juries have finalized this year’s annual Design Awards winners selections Apr 12 2015: Los Angeles, Katty Xiomara was awarded: Second Prize in Pret-a-Porter Competition for the Wireframe Project and Honorable Mention in Women_PP Competition for the Wireframe Project. IDA honorary juries examined over 1000 entries submitted by architects and designers of interiors, fashion, products, and graphics from 52 countries throughout the world. After final decisions had been made, the jury rewarded the best professional and emerging designers for their achievements in terms of design, creativity, usability and innovation. Judging was a rigorous process, with winners receiving publication of their work in the International Design Awards Book of Designs. The coveted IDA Trophy will be awarded to all Designer of the Year title winners at the official biennial International Design Awards Ceremony in Los Angeles. This annual competition recognizes, honors and promotes legendary design visionaries and uncovers emerging talents in Architecture, Interior, Product, Graphic and Fashion Design on global level.
