Autumn Winter 13 welcomes the fourth collection by accessory designer Danielle Foster and a partnership with fellow up and coming British designer Charlie May. The collaborative collection celebrates both designers British heritage which is brought to life by incorporating a love of colour, texture and an interesting juxtaposition of materials into a series of handbag silhouettes.

Charlie May’s AW13 collection is inspired by dark volcanic landscapes. Ice, rock and fire depicted the mood, colour palette and texture.

Foster has worked with this colour palette, introducing a burgundy textured leather to reference the volcanic backdrop as well as a new translucent PVC material inspired by the ice. Whilst all the while maintaining her signature use of tough leathers and fastenings of solid brass hardware.

As well as introducing new materials and colour ways, this season embraces a new clutch silhouette, with the addition of a leather strip acting as a built in handle and updates of signature Foster designs. The popular boxy satchel now has a more formal triangular front closing flap and totes are refreshed with the insertion of contrasting panels and brass studding at the base, accompanied by braided leather handles.
