Trend: red passion

Posted on

If you look up  ” hues of red”, Wikipedia proposes 49 different shades of red : like burgundy, cardinal, ruby, scarlet, rust, raspberry  etc etc and to me most of them were almost unknown till today. Anyway, red together with green is one of the most trendiest colour for this FW season.

As I already said in one of my previous post, I don’t like much wearing red but since it is a must for this coming season, I have already bought a bordeaux sweater (never say never). Plus I am always in big difficult to match red with other colours.

Straight from the catwalks, the best red garments and accessories around.

Charlotte Olympia: suede heels ( 150 mm heel with 35 mm island platform) from the Love me collection. Suede hearts in various hues of red.

Michael Kors: Orange spice hooded toggle cape, three-quarter cape sleeve, front flap pockets.

BCBG: cascade-detail dress, V-neck, long sleeves, relaxed fit

Lanvin: wool merino dress with long sleeves and draped neckline.

Miu Miu: wine suede open toe mary-jane with suede rigid bow.

Diane von Furstenberg: Opera gloves in red suede and black lamb leather.

Moschino: virgin wool, cashmere and silk for this cardigan, decorated in satin, long sleeves, two pockets with buttons.

Tara Jarmon: silk georgette blouse with front ascott tie, round neck, long sleeves.

Marni: Frame bag in calfskin, two handles, three nylon-lined compartments and one pocket.

Valentino: Techno couture jumpsuit in wool and lined in Habotai silk. Elegant strapless jumpsuit with internal corset decorated by couture fabric rose on the neckline. Total length 132 cm.

So what hue of red are you? I am bordeaux/wine
