Yotam Solomon was founded by Yotam Solomon and is the eponymous label he created in July 2007.

Yotam Solomon luxury brand is geared toward eco friendly Avant Garde living that supports nature, among different charity organizations. Designing Ready to Wear, footwear, and accessories from natural elements sustaining healthy living and comfort ability combined with high fashion. The main priorities of the brand are to inspire and empower—its motto is: ‘Slip into the extraordinary’. British Vogue  also said: “Although not simple nor classic, Solomon’s first real design collection reminds audiences that showmanship and high-fashion are in fact still intact in California.”
The collection is available at different retailers and among other retailers and e-commerce’s the Yotam Solomon Ready to Wear, Footwear, and accessories Collections for Women and Men, while offering its designer label and contemporary secondary line.


It was announced by Women’s Wear Daily that Yotam Solomon will be launching a second line, titled YOTAM SOLOMON II. According to WWD, the line will be a diffusion line that will target a commercial audience, offering lower prices. YOTAM SOLOMON II is to be released in the fall of 2010.

YOTAM SOLOMON II Footwear (contemporary label) plays with the same ideas behind Solomon’s core offering—highly stylized silhouettes on everything from flats and sky-high heels to wedges and boots—but it will be toned down for a more commercial audience. While the designer’s namesake line is priced between $400 and $1,000, YOTAM SOLOMON II Footwear is expected to retail for $150 to $300. Targeted retailers include specialty boutiques already carrying the core collection, including Church Boutique in Los Angeles and Debut in New York.

 

 

Yotam has been featured in many magazines including  La Magazine, Bello Magazine, etc. VOGUE wrote an article on Yotam’s collection in 2008, stating “Even more impressive, Solomon’s knack for the avant-garde and a wise-beyond-his years understanding for colour combine that which designers twice his age often lack.” As part of his different showcases L.A. Magazine wrote an article on Yotam’s Spring-Summer 2010 Collection that has taken place in L.A.’s landmark Chateau Marmont.

During the first night of NY Fashion’s Night Out 2009, Yotam Solomon was selected for a presentation hosted by Tribeca. Design Within Reach collaborated with Yotam and Preston Lee, from Bravo’s  Top Design to celebrate “fashion and interior design”.[

Also in 2009, Yotam was named “L.A.’s Top Young Designer” by  AOL’s, Stylelist.

Yotam Solomon presented his Fall 2010 collection at a private event in the Hollywood Hills on March 2010. Celebrities that attended Yotam Solomon’s exclusive Fall-Winter 2010 presentation, titled Native American Collection, included:  Karina Smirnoff, Nikki Reed, Tamale Jones and many many others.

On May 2010 Yotam became a spokesperson for  LG. LG teamed up with celebrities Victoria Beckham and Eva Longoria , who represented two different phones. Yotam was selected by Victoria Beckham to create a capsule collection inspired by the LG Lotus Elite. Yotam was featured in a commercial with Victoria Beckham, which played on MTV. At the end of the campaign, LG held the “LG Fashion Touch event”, hosted by Victoria Beckham and Eva Longoria at Soho House in West Hollywood.

On September 2010 Yotam created the first and only collection inspired by the  BP Oil spill, which took place in the  Gulf of Mexico, in order to raise awareness and funds. Receiving accolades from the media and fashion industry, Yotam was said to be “cleaning it up” by  Refinery29 “Clean up with Yotam Solomon’s New Oil Spill Collection ” along with other features such as Style.com and CocoPerez by  Perez Hilton among other international media.

Along with his work to better the environment and improve sustainable ethics, Yotam was approached by  Dasani (Coca-cola)  to collaborate and create a collection inspired by the  Dasani plant based bottle, which reduces the amount of petroleum used and is revolutionizing the bottle industry. To celebrate this break-through, Yotam created a collection of handmade dresses made out of live plants and florals that was presented by  Glee’s Matthew Morrison on Earth Day 2011. The designs were unveiled during a live fashion show at The Grove  in L.A , CA. The plant based collection received international media coverage, naming Yotam Solomon ‘Super-Star designer’ by E!
