Melanie started Callulla Lillibelle long after she established herself as a true artist. She began exploring her passion for art and design in high school, at the Museum of Fine Arts. She then went on to major in theater at Bennington College before heading to Los Angeles. Although she didn’t follow the traditional path into the fashion world, Melanie was looking to step onto the scene with her dream of creating a woman’s fashion label.

Melanie wanted to create a clothing line that would both embrace the sensuality of being a woman, as well as empower women. Her ideal line would have clothes that a powerful woman can wear to the office and then straight to dinner while still maintaining elegance, style, and class. With the launch of Callula Lillibelle in 2010, Melanie’s vision finally came to fruition.

Callula Lillibelle’s debut collection for Spring 2011 received rave reviews, commending Melanie’s ‘Mad Men’ style inspiration and her use of versatile and easy to wear fabrics. Most recently, Callula Lillibelle was chosen as one of ten designers to be featured at the Chengdu Fashion Week in China.

After a degree in Fashion and Textile design from Duperre College of Art in Paris, she sailed for London and completed her studies with a degree in Tailoring at Central St Martins.  A stint at Alexander McQueen reinforced her dream of one day running her own label.

After working as a freelance pattern cutter for various London Fashion Week designers, she felt ready to bring her dream to life, as a result of her different experiences.
She created her first clutch in spring 2009, when she couldn’t find a beautiful yet affordable clutch for a wedding she was attending so she decided to make it herself. Since then, mademoiselle bagatelles has grown to a comprehensive accessories brand, captivating the interest of both fashion conscious and vintage addict.

ION FIZ fundó su propia firma de Moda en el año 2002 a la edad de 24 años ; desde entonces ha recibido importantes premios como el L’Oreal Paris Cibeles , el Prix de la Mode Marie Claire o el Premio Fad al Mejor Diseñador . En 2012 ha celebrado su 10º Aniversario en el mundo de la Moda con una Colección de Alta Costura compuesta por 30 creaciones titulada “ FIZISSIMO “ y presentada por todo lo alto en un desfile de gala en el Museo Guggenheim ; FIZ clausuró la celebración de su Aniversario con un Taller en el Museo Balenciaga , donde mostró como realizar un vestido de Alta Costura.

ION FIZ estudió Diseño de Moda en la Escuela de Moda Vasca con Matricula de Honor , su interés por la Moda y la costura es innato , desde muy temprana edad ha aprendido en los talleres de sus familiares , sastres ; como se corta y se cose una prenda . FIZ supervisa todo el proceso de creación de sus Diseños : Desde el Boceto y el patrón , pasando por el corte y la confección final de cada vestido.

FIZ ha diseñado colecciones para otros importantes maestros de la Alta Costura como Pertegaz . Entre sus clientas se encuentran mujeres tan elegantes como Isabel Preysler ; asimismo las colecciones de ION FIZ se distribuyen en España , Francia , Italia , Rusia , Noruega , Australia , Emiratos Árabes y Japón . La semana de la Moda MERCEDES BENZ FASHION WEEK MADRID y el PRET A PORTER DE PARIS son algunas de las importantes citas a las que acude cada seis meses el Diseñador.

About the designer:

Lebanese-born Remi Sabbah was destined to become a fashion designer from an early age. Remi started her career as a journalist however, Remi’s true love of fashion eventually led her to the family business.

Having moved to Milan, Remi studied and worked alongside Angelo Rusica, former head of Design for Gianni Versace. Remi’s love for materials, printed fabrics, colors and photography led her to establish her own clothing brand Mlle Epaulette.

The Designer builds her creations using unique designs to achieve edgy, wearable style.
